That's What Jesus Said

I'm not looking for a mansion on a hill.
I'm just waiting on my mansion in the sky,
Where I'll see my loved ones there (I know I will).
Then, we'll be together; side by side.

In this mansion I've been waiting for,
I won't be just the girl next door.
For, I'll have wings and a halo overhead,
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.

He said, "Take up your yoke and follow me,
I'll break those chains and set you free,
I've healed the blind and lame, and raised the dead."
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.

He said, "I am the way, the truth and the light.
I'll chase the darkness from your life.
I'll forget the past and the sinful life you've led,"
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.

He said, "I'll go prepare a place for you
So that, where I am, you will be, too."
I saw that in His scripture that I just read
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.

And when I reach His mansion in the sky,
He's promised me I'll never die.
He's already paid our price with the blood He shed
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.

There will be no tears or sorrow there;
No pain and suffering anywhere.
The memories of this world will all be dead
And I know it's true 'cause that's what Jesus said.
