"...Choose
ye
this
day
whom
ye
will
serve..."
Joshua
24:
15
The
story
is
told
of
a
fire
which
broke
out
in
a
house,
on
a
narrow
street,
early
one
morning.
A
policeman
on
duty
noticed
the
fire
and
immediately
sounded
an
alarm.
Before
the
fire
engines
could
get
to
the
scene,
however,
flames
were
leaping
high
into
the
air.
Suddenly
a
young
man
appeared
at
an
upstairs
window
in
his
pajamas.
Firemen
quickly
placed
a
ladder
against
the
burning
building
and
beckoned
for
the
man
to
come
down
at
once.
But,
to
the
consternation
of
all,
the
man
refused
to
exit
the
house,
shouting
back
that
he
had
to
get
dressed
first.
The
firemen
pleaded,
"Come
as
you
are!
Please,
just
come
as
you
are!"
But,
their
words
were
to
no
avail.
From
below,
they
tried
to
ascend
the
stairs,
but
were
turned
back
as
the
wind
fanned
the
flames
into
a
fiery
fury.
When
a
rescuer
tried
to
enter
through
a
window,
the
heat
and
smoke
forced
him
away.
Suddenly
the
stairs
gave
way
and
the
whole
roof
fell
in
on
the
house.
The
man
had
waited
too
long,
and
was
buried
alive
beneath
the
ruins.
Those
who
refuse
to
flee
from
the
wrath
to
come
have
a
much
greater
tragedy
which
await
them.
There
are
many
who
reject
our
Lord's
provision
of
salvation
and
safety
in
Christ,
because
they
think
they
must
first
get
all
dressed
up
in
clothes
of
self-righteousness
or
garments
of
religion.
The
truth
is,
their
delay
could
cost
them
their
soul.
Jesus
is
calling
all
souls
to
come
unto
Him,
"just
as
they
are."
The
only
plea
we
have
is
the
precious
blood
of
Jesus,
which
was
shed
in
our
behalf.
It
is
not
by
works
of
righteousness,
lest
any
man
should
boast.
Only
the
precious
blood
of
Jesus
can
wash
one's
sins
away.
Only
the
Lord
can
clothe
us
in
"garments
of
righteousness"
as
He
takes
away
the
old
and
makes
all
things
new.
Jesus
is
calling
souls
to
come
to
Him
today,
and
receive
life
everlasting.
Today
is
the
day
of
salvation.
We
are
not
promised
another
new
day.
May
our
hearts
see
the
necessity
of
reaching
out
to
souls
with
the
good
news
of
the
gospel
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
Souls
are
perishing
each
day
and
slipping
into
eternity.
Many
are
lost
without
hope,
because
they
put
off
making
a
decision
for
Christ
when
they
are
given
an
opportunity.
Our
prayer
is
for
souls
to
come
to
Jesus,
"just
as
they
are,
knowing
God
will
save
and
make
them
what
they
need
to
be,
for
His
glory."
Blessings
In
Christ,
