"Be of
good courage, and he shall
strengthen your heart, all ye
that hope in the Lord."
Psalm 31: 24.
It has
been six years since the
attack by terrorists on our
Nation. Many people no
longer feel secure in their
homes across this land as they
remember the events which
shattered hearts and took so
many lives on this day.
Those who are gone are not
forgotten, but are remembered,
as they remain in the hearts
and memory of those left
behind. Even those who
did not know the men and
women, who lost their lives,
mourned as they watched the
towers crumble and fall, in
the attack on the Pentagon and
heard about the crash of
United Airlines Flight 93, in
Pennsylvania.
Today, we remember the loss
and the lives which were taken
at the hands of those out to
destroy America's peace of
mind and weaken our Nation
with their evil attack on that
day. May those who lost
loved ones find comfort and
continued peace in the Lord.
We will never forget the
rescue workers who helped in
this time of disaster and
their every effort of help, as
well as those who lost their
lives as heroes, while trying
to help. We also
remember the heroes on the
flight and all those who
helped rescue or save the
lives of others.
America is not defeated.
She still stands strong as
people call upon the Lord.
Fear was one goal of those
responsible for the attack,
but we know our God has not
given us a spirit of fear.
We look to Him who can keep us
in perfect peace. We
must look to the future, as we
remember the past, and stand
firm on God's truths.
Only the truths of God can see
us through tough times when
terror, turmoil, trouble, or
tears are present in a Nation.
This wake up call to pray
brought together those of
every race and color to join
together, hand in hand, in
prayer. What America or
any Country needs most, is
prayer. We are told if
God's people will only humble
themselves and seek God's face
in prayer, repent of sins, and
turn from their wicked ways,
He will hear from heaven,
forgive and heal this land.
God has blessed us abundantly
and it is time for his people
to bless him. It is time for
men to turn their hearts to
heaven. God still hears
our prayers and desires a
Nation whose God is the Lord.
What will tomorrow bring?
Only God knows, but in Him, we
will trust. Our hope is in the
Lord and we will remain
strong, if we look to God and
follow after his ways.
Jesus is truly our hope, as we
stand for his truths. It is
only "by his Spirit" that we
can be a people pleasing to
Him as we seek to be more like
Christ each new day.
We remember this day which
changed our Nation forever,
but have a vision of a better
day and restoration, as this
county looks to God, and
marches forward in faith.
One day all trouble and sorrow
will cease and we shall dwell
in the house of the Lord
forever. Until that day,
may we not grow weary in well
doing, as we go forward in
faith and hope in Him. "IF" is
a condition of God's blessings
which we cannot afford to
overlook. "Blessed is
the Nation whose God is the
Lord."
Regardless of the
circumstances or events that
may occur, Jesus is still Lord
of all!
Blessings in Christ,
In Memory of 9/11/01
